A safe place to swim
Child Safeguarding and Welfare
Everyone at EDSC has the right to enjoy swimming in a safe, positive and friendly environment. Any member or parent can raise a concern with our Welfare Officer at any time, in confidence.
Raising a concern
Talk to our Welfare Officer
For welfare issues, please contact the Club's Welfare Officer also via the Contact Us page.
The Welfare Officer is here for swimmers, parents and volunteers. Whether it's a worry about a child's wellbeing, behaviour at the poolside, or anything that doesn't feel right, you can get in touch in confidence and we'll take it seriously.
Our policy
Wavepower
Wavepower is the Swim England Child Safeguarding Policies and Procedures manual that has been adopted by Erith and District Swimming Club.
It sets out how everyone in the club — coaches, committee, volunteers and parents — helps keep children and vulnerable adults safe, and what to do if a concern arises.
Worried about something? Tell us.
Concerns are always welcome and always handled in confidence — reach the Welfare Officer through the contact form.
